Where's your next geographical classroom? Take control of your learning and future!!!

Calling all Year 9, 10 and 11....

The Geography department has an excellent opportunity to help aid you in building your your CV this summer for potential colleges, employers or universities. Have a look at the opportunity and competition from Action For Conservation below:

If you’re interested in nature, want to get hands on experience of conservation, and you’d like to take action for the environment... 

We want to hear from you!

We’re giving 10 lucky students from across the UK the chance to join us at the Stackpole National Trust Nature Reserve for four days in the wild this summer. Prepare for the adventure of a lifetime!

Highlights


  1. 1 full day working with National Trust Rangers on conservation tasks across the site;
  2. Workshops from visiting conservationists, artists, writers, film makers & musicians to help you communicate your passion to others;
  3. Advice on how to take action from leading environmental campaigners;
  4. Mentoring from young conservationists and AFC team leaders;
  5. Team building games, and of course, beach time!

To win a place on the AFC Summer Camp 2016 enter our Challenge by answering the 3 short questions below in writing (max 300 words) or by creating a video (max 3 minutes). Email your answers to competitions@actionforconservation.org or send to Mr Davis at gordon.davis@stpauls.greenwich.sch.uk along with your name, age and the name of your school before the deadline of 30th May 2016:

  1. What environmental problem do you think needs tackling in your local area? 
  2. What ideas do you have to solve this problem?
  3. How would you get your friends and others in your community to take action with you?

Winners will be announced on the 6th June.
